KANSAS CITY, Mo. - In the final regular season poll, Lubbock Christian (Texas) University holds as the No. 1 team in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Baseball Coaches' Top 25, announced today (May 7). For the third time this year, the Chaparrals tabbed all first-place votes with 20 nods this poll. LCU stands with the best winning percentage (.962) in all of NAIA baseball at 50-2 and is the No. 1 seed in this week's Region VI Tournament.

The five straight weeks for LCU at No. 1 is the longest such streak for a team other than Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) since Oklahoma City went seven straight weeks during the 2004 season.
